If you’re anything like me, you’re not keen on being taken for a ride, especially when it comes to something as straightforward as electricity. Power is power, it’s not like mine is juiced from a pointy horned mythical creature oozing sparkly confetti and yours a one eyed wonky donkey. It’s the same juice! so what’s the deal? why does it differ so drastically from provider to provider? and why are rates nigh on impossible to compare?

Website after website I found their rates cast with fairy tale offerings, bundled discounts, and cashback promises that cloak the reality; they’re draining your wallet.

The cracks were forming, the frustration was building, i needed a simple solution. 

Then, boom! It was there, staring back at me. A gift from the fairy godmother herself; a site for comparing power providers. I entered my usage and hit the button, and there it was my estimated savings… Wait! estimated?, This, a number so irrelevant it had to of been pulled out of a unicorns backside.

Into the rabbit hole I fell. It was clear, this was a conundrum not easily solved.  

At this point I knew, I would have to sort this myself. So i did.

I created a program that compared my previous power usage with rates from other providers. This gave me the true cost of my usage if I was with other providers.

The spell had been lifted and it was finally clear, now we are here together.
